Valon's shift was over with, yet he was reluctant to lower his face shield, the darkly tinted visor keeping everything below his nose hidden. Mainly, it was because most of the guards would end up picking on him for coming into the End of Line club. He was a bit too timid for this place, he fully agreed. Plus, it was known (in rumor, granted) among even the guards that a lot of bad business went down. He hated letting injustices go, but he was just one program versus...who knows how many. Even so, every now and then he needed a drink, and a reason to just enjoy the company of others. The music too, it sounded throughout the place loudly, but somehow everyone managed to keep on chatting and doing...whatever they were going to do. He felt like he stuck out like a sore thumb, though he knew well enough that as a fairly nameless guard he probably blended right in.
He had finished one or two drinks by the time he noticed another male program, a familiar face. "Ah, Sol...wonder what brings you here," he murmured to himself, as he moved from where he had spent the past couple of hours. Sol was a dear friend of his, and was somewhat a mentor to him. When he was first brought to the Grid, Sol was the one to show him around, and he knew he owed the fellow program. He also knew that his friend wasn't the most sociable program either. The main difference was that Valon was more willing to go out and socialize.
As he got through the dancing, drinking, and misbehaving crowd that End of Line tended to house, he tried his best to not bump into others. But that wasn't an easy task. At any rate, he got over to where Sol was sitting and smiled a bit, the helmet visor still active. "Hello, Sol. I didn't expect to see you out here. Welcome," he said, offering his hand to his friend for a handshake. "I hope you don't mind me coming over a bit, friend." He paused, catching a nod from Sol and he took a seat next to him. "What brings you out here tonight?"
