Ellie Langley had already spent a year at the University of California's Los Angeles branch, and had yet to make any lasting friends. It was a blow to her self-esteem, almost making her feel like she was back in high school in Salem. Even with that being the witch capital of the states, Ellie was still teased from her necklaces to the books she read, and how she kept to herself. It caused major trust issues to develop within the girl, who was now a woman learning her place in the world.
She'd discovered a love for the theater, as well as film and arts. Majoring in that and minoring in Anthropology, Ellie tried to focus more on her studies and not the social aspect of college everyone bragged about. However, being nearly twenty-two and having only one person she knew extensively in Los Angeles, it was getting hard.
Ellie had paid extra for a room by herself on the campus, but rarely spent time there. This evening, she found herself sitting on a small patch of grass out in the front of the campus, her nose stuck in a book about something paranormal related, while her free hand absently rubbed the golden Ankh she wore around her neck. It was a form of comfort. Next to her were open books for her classes that she should have been studying, but she always found a way to preoccupy herself with her one true love; the occult.
