Ben nodded, regarding Claire with an understanding look. Though they hadn't known each other all that long, he felt a certain fondness for her; or at the very least, a desire to make sure she lived up to the potential he saw in her. He never considered himself to be all that wonderful a Programmer--he was certainly very good, but not who he'd consider one of the greats--but there was something about Claire that made him believe there was more to her than met the eye.
"Well, if there's anything either Tram or I can do to ease whatever further worries you have, be sure to let us know. We'd be happy to oblige," Ben said honestly.
He really wanted Claire and Hestia's experience to be a positive one. He had no doubt that it would be, but he really wanted to make sure he was as supportive as he could possibly. A smooth transition was always the more desirable outcome of introducing new Programs and Users to The Grid. Granted, Claire had been to The Grid before, but this marked her first real foray with Hestia. He smiled warmly at her question, spreading his hands before him, palm up, in a friendly gesture before once more lacing his fingers neatly together in front of him.
"Yes, I've always found my experience differs around other Programs. I suppose you could argue that it's simply the fact that Tram and I share a face and some aspects of personality and mannerisms, but I disagree with that," Ben informed her, his face reflecting his thoughtful state as his eyes regarded his Program with open fondness. "You see the way his circuits have lit up? When we first met, touched... it was like touching a live wire. I felt something, here--"
He placed on hand flat over his heart, fingers splayed out over his own chest.
"--and it hasn't left. I suppose it's rather fanciful of me, but sometimes I believe I can feel what he's feeling even when we're not together. With other Programs, I just don't get that same connection," he said with a small smile.
